NEW

(EUR) Camp Eureka(ages 6-12)

Description:   Inspire the inventor and scientist in you during this week of discovery and invention.  Investigate the awesome inventions created before modern science had really begun.  Learn about Leonardo da Vinci and discover how his ideas predicted future inventions.  Imagine finding yourself on a deserted island with only a few supplies.  What better way to inspire your own creations?  Add into the day a tsunami and a volcano and see how resourceful you can be using Ben Franklin’s inventions as inspiration. We’ll join the adventure to infinity and beyond on this fantastic day where science fiction meets science fact.  As far back as Jules Verne and as recently as George Lucas, dreamers have explored what the future can hold.  Many of those dreams are now reality.  Sci-fi meets real inventors to help us explore how fiction can influence reality. Click here to watch a quick Video of Camp Eureka.

(MOV) Moving With Science (ages 6-12)

Mad Science invites you to decipher the world around you. Use Morse code to move information through space to your friends. Travel the galaxy as you explore the Milky Way.. Discover pollution solutions by baking nachos with solar power. Test what your toes have to do with tennis... and grow jaws and claws to feed your beastly stomach!

(SSS)  Super Science Sampler (ages 6-12)

Explore five of the coolest branches of science on your way to becoming a certified Jr. Mad Scientist.  Discover how birds fly, how bugs walk on water and learn what an owl eats as we dissect owl pellets in Biology; build towering structures and ingenious contraptions via Engineering; experiment with Newton’s Laws of Motion and perform the Great Tablecloth Tug during Physics; stir-up crazy concoctions that become candy, ice cream and sidewalk chalk in Chemistry; then pan for gems, create thunder and lightning and make your own volcano in Earth Science.  It’s a camp so great it’s Super-Duper!

(FZZ)  “Fizz”ical Phenomenon and Crazy Che-Mystery (ages 6-12)

Take a walk on the wild side as we explore molecular madness, crazy chemistry and all kinds of radical reactions.  Whip up potions, find out how different chemicals react when mixed together, and use your skills as a chemist to discover the answers to secrets you've always wondered about.

(ENG)  “New” Mad Science Engineering Academy (ages 6-12)

Do you love to build, design and fix things? Put on your engineer’s hat for this exciting week of science activities. We’ll build catapults, bridges and domes. We’ll study how the human body is engineered to compete in sports. On the last day, you will get to experiment with all you have learned and build your own Mad Science creation.

(SFA)  Mad Science Space & Flight Academy (ages 6-12)

From our Earth’s atmosphere to the outer reaches of our solar system, this hands-on program sends budding Mad Scientists on a quest for exploration.    Learn about the four forces of flight, Build your own kite, plane and rocket. Get ready to have a blast.

(WATT) Watts Up? (ages 6-12)

This is an electrifying camp designed to shock and amaze.  We will explore the world of electricity and super power sources.  We'll look up into the sky and see what is up there that we can explore down here. We will fly away as we go Up, Up and Away on our hovercraft.  Electricity, Magnets, Space, Planets and Moons, and the science of flight.  After this camp we will know more about "Watts Up".

(RHR) Red Hot Robots (ages 8-13)

Join us for a week of fun with amazing robots! In this week of camp, learn about the uses of robots in our world and spend time experimenting with super cool red-hot robots. Experiment with sound sensing robots, line-tracking robots, amphibious robots and robots that can even play soccer! Discover the science of circuits and how robots use sensors to explore things around them. Use your skills to build your very own working robot to take home with you! This class does have an extra materials charge of $30 to cover the cost of the robot.

(SFS)  Seek, Find & Solve (ages 5-11)

Decipher the world around you. Learn the Techniques of disguise, the art of writing secret messages and the cool gadgets and gizmos used to discover “who done it”. We’ll incorporate the science of photography into our week of camp as well.

(GARIn the Garden (4-6 Half Day Only)

Welcome to the exciting world of basic environmental science. Each session is devoted to different aspects of the garden, allowing children to progressively enrich their understanding of how living things grow and how they interact with the environment around them.

(MFL)  My First Lab (ages 4-6) (half day only)

It’s Mad Science 101. Snatch up your coat and meet at the lab-- it’s time for science fun! Flasks, beakers and balance beams are some of the equipment your junior scientist will experiment with. We’ll even do a little mixing to shake things up.
